Eniu Valchev Dimov
Born: 4th January 1936
Died:  
Birthplace: Polski Gradets, Stara Zagora region
Nationality: Bulgarian

He started wrestling with the coach Nikola Ilchev – founder of the Stara Zagora Wrestling School.

He was athlete in CSKA Sports Club as serving his military duties, and after in “Minyor” Dimitrovgrad Sports Club and “Levski Spartak” Sports Club.

World Championships World Champion 1962. 2 Silver, 1 Bronze
European Championships 2-time European Champion

Olympic Champion from Tokyo 1964.

Silver medalist from Olympic Games in Mexico 1968 and Bronze medalist from Rome 1960.

World champion in Toledo, USA in 1962.

Holder of two silver medals and one bronze medal from the World Championships.

Twice European Champion – Skopie, Macedonia in 1968 and Sofia, Bulgaria in 1969.

Athlete of the Year 1962.

Famous for his great techniques: fireman’s carry, crotch lift, half Nelson and leg scissors.

In 2004 constitutes Wrestling Sports Club “Enyo Valchev” in the town of Dimitrovgrad.
